Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) is a standardized test which assesses the English language capability of non-natives of English who desire to enroll Anglophone universities and other institutions. More than 11,000 universities and institutions over 150 countries acknowledge the test. It is the second most taken test after IELTS in the world by far. The test was established in 1964
With major transfiguration in medium of conduction, the internet-based test (iBT) was introduced in 2005. Previously, computer-based tests (CBT) and paper-based tests (PBT) were its variations, however, CBT was supplanted by iBT in 2006.
The test has four tasks to achieve: reading, listening, speaking, and writing. 10 minutes of break is required by the system of the test conductors.
